Jupiter Occultation by Moon (2012)

Occultation of Jupiter by Moon, which occured at jul 15th, 2012. This is a first occultation from this year's series of occultations, however it was also the last one I'll be able to observe from Israel. Photos were taken from Rehovot citym just before the sunrise. Moon's low altitude and approaching daylight posed a real challenge, and prevented me from using my "main caliber" (10" Newtonian). This single frame photo was taken with Stellarvue ED 80mm f/7 refractor, on Dwarfstar mount. Camera: Canon EOS 500D DSLR, in prime focus, with Televue 2.5X powermate.
