Transit of Venus 2012 in White Light
Description
Transit of the Venus across the Sun, which occured at jun 6th, 2012. This is a last transit of Venus in our century. It's also the event when the Venus has largest visible diameter - of almost 1 arc minute.
Photos taken from "Pilots Hill" in Israel, during cloudy weather. Telescope: Stellarvue NHNG ED 80mm f/7 refractor, on NEQ6 pro mount. Camera: Canon EOS 500D DSLR, in prime focus, with Televue 2.5X powermate and a Baader astrosolar white light solar filter. A stack of ~50 frames.
